About the Course

The Gully is a private backyard 22 hole, 12 basket, technical wooded course spread over approximately 9 acres of private owned land in Iron Station, NC. Owner, Josh Thacker, designed and built this course in the beginning of January 2021. This course makes for a fun, tight, challenging round in the Carolina woods. Hole two shoots over a 300ft wide gully running through the property giving this private course its name.

"Awesome course. Great variety of shot shapes and hole lengths. Extremely well marked considering the complexity. Really creative use of shared baskets and fairways. Could get a little squirrelly with a lot of people on the course but when it’s empty it plays great. "

"Great private course. Owner is really nice. We’ll designer course. Many holes criss cross so be sure to watch for other players. Unique basket styles, hanging, skinny etc. good mix of open vs wooded holes. "
