The Canyons at Dellwood Park

"Really cool layout that is easy to follow and well maintained, there were wood chips on many fairways and greens to cut down on the spring mud. The course is a good mixture of pretty basic park style holes and some truly epic woods holes involving elevation, island greens, and water. Multiple pads and pins make it friendly for any skill level. It was super busy on a Tuesday morning, so I’m guessing it’s always like that. Highly recommended course for all levels. "

"Astonishing. Incredible use of elevation and terrain, open monster bombs and some semi/technical tree lines. I played 23 blues in a little over 2hr solo, it's a hike. Maps are correct but there are several places where the paths are close enough to not be sure which side of the treeline or path you're on. The "six loop" is really oddly numbered but plays fine. "

Flow is extremely confusing and could be easily solved by using colored tape on the baskets to indicate direction of next tee color coded for which variation you are playing. Baskets are also very hard to see with no flag on top or top ring. Absolutely gorgeous holes that play challenging yet fair. Pro shop is top notch and much like The Nati or Hazy Shade. I would put Idlewild ahead of here, but Dellwood is more fun to play. "

"Don't get me wrong this is an above average course but it's massively over rated. Playing this course from the gold layout starting from 13 is the way to play it. There is definitely plenty of well designed holes but the back 9 plays a little repetitive. The biggest problem with this course is they don't have signage for pedestrians warning them about the course because every other hole you play there will be some clueless idoit wandering the fairways or kids running out infront of you."

"Navigation was easy. Holes were well marked, intuitive tee placement except for 6&6a that was confusing. Holes were clearly defined. There was a lot of adjoining fairways which made overlapping or overthrowing other fairways. Great course, reminds me of old style champion courses like Kaposia in St Paul. "

You can definitely save some steps by starting your round on #13. Can be busy but that’s because it’s a great course. Only bummer was the pro shop was closed but respect for taking the holiday off. This course gets really crowded and there are often logjams around hole 7 since numerous course variations converge on that hole. Tips: if you plan on playing the course numerous times and want to keep your course stats easily viewable, just pick 27 hole layout every time. Don’t skip the ALT 6s!!!"

The combination of tees and baskets is great for players of different skill levels, however execution is lacking. It got very confusing on which tee went to which basket. Diagrams unfortunately were vague and not super helpful. It was also a very long walk between some holes. With all that being said, the pro shop was very impressive! The grounds were well kept as well. "

"This course is killer. Proshop is absolutely amazing and the people are very nice. Bought a new Dynamic bag, some shirts, and several new discs for me and my wife. The course is beautiful and well kept, the elevation changes add quite a bit of excitement. Who doesn't love throwing bombs off a hill, right? Some technical shots that will punish you for missing, and some wide open shots I imagine Simon Lizotte lives for. Probably why he plays there a lot. Great course! Hole 18 is a 'Kodak Moment'."

"If you want a scenic well maintained course with a good variety of shots and multiple tee boxes, this is the course for you. It also helps that there’s a pro shop with a huge variety of discs and anything else you could ask for on-site with super friendly staff. Fun course for all levels. Only warning, there is some poison ivy in a few spots so be careful when retrieving discs from the rough. Not much but one hole on the back nine, my disc found it. And bring bug spray."

"This is a superb, destination course that gets better every year. The topography is particularly beautiful with canyon walls and a meandering creek featuring on many holes. Newer holes are largely wooded, thus adding a more technical element to this layout. Its signature holes will linger in your memory and I won’t spoil them here. Course condition is outstanding from the baskets, the wood-chipped greens, course condition and well stocked clubhouse shop. Do make the trip. "
