Sorensen Park DG Course

Worst bugs of any course I've ever been to. It's a swamp. If I ever come back it will be winter time, early spring or late fall. It might be okay when it's finished but overall unpleasant experience.

Another disappointing installation for the area and waste of a park that has good potential. Poor course design as far as shot shape, variety, and use of the space. Not a good look for the sport and is stuck in the 'old school' ways, so certainly will not get better with more progress in the construction. Bugs are also horrendous.

Mosquitoes happen, don't think they should reduce from the course score. I really like this course and am grateful to the people who put in the work. What a pleasant surprise to see all tees complete. Very nice.

This course is unique. I enjoyed playing it. The tee pads are awesome. They are freshly poured. With permanent signage this course would be a 4.5 for me. Lots of bugs. Bring bug spray. It is better to play this course under dry conditions.

Great hidden gem. Bring bug spray AND a thermocell.

The course is on a path to a 5 star 🌟 rating. The course is very well layed out. The improvements being made are first class. The new concrete tees are great. I understand the rest of the tees are coming soon. I was very pleased with the senior (short) tees. I hope more senior tees are in the plans.

Worst bugs you will ever experience

Tee 4 has no concrete tee. Stopped at 4. Was really bugging bc of the recent rain.

Holes 1-12 are all very fun. Needs breaking in and more brush cut down. Getting to 13 is confusing and a lot of walking. 17 is unplayable. Anywhere to the left is a foot of muk. No reason to waste money on it. 18 is confusing to get to, take a left at the road not a right. Once pads are finished and theres been more traffic it will be a much better play experience. Bug spray is mandatory.

You have to take the landbridge back after hole 12 to get to hole 13 - don’t keep walking down the path

Potentially the best woods course with lots of shot shaping and variety of skills needed. Also nothing short of some of the best scenery in Oakland county 🤟🏻🤟🏻

Course length and design is not up to today's standards. Fairways only offer one shot option off every tee, no variety or options given to the player on how to approach the hole. From there, the fairways are narrow and the trees/obstacles are not thought out. It's like trying to throw a dime through a screen door. Shaping of fairways needs much improvement, and the intended landing zones don't really exist. Definitely not a course you would see on the Pro Tour, and on the flip side it's not beginner friendly either. Course maintenance is a whole other story. Some holes hadn't been mowed in months and a good shot in the fairway is easily lost. Signage is pretty much non-existent, difficult to navigate with long walks between holes. Last but not least, the bugs are HORRENDOUS! I found 3 ticks on me through the round and 2 when I got home, and there were constantly swarms of thousands of mosquitoes around us even while we were soaked in bug spray. Will not be playing here again.

HRd to name navigate, even with Udisc. Especially hard from 4 to 5, 12 to 13.

Nice enough course that needs some more breaking in. Porto at the parking lot. No concrete pads yet. Needs some trash cans, and signage as everyone else says. I helped two parties looking for hole 13 on the wrong path. You must backtrack past 4th tee and 3rd basket, then 13 tee will be on your left. Dense rough, bring a spotter. Today some fairways seem about due for mowing.

The course itself is very fun but bugs are relentless, vegetation is very dense, many thorns. Hole 17 is a swamp, if you curve your disc left its all over, bring plenty of extra discs as there’s a lot of other holes where finding a bad throw is very challenging. Short tee pads are not shown right on the map, theres little to no directions on the trails so finding the holes can be tough.

Beautiful layout and use of the space. Love the shot shaping this course allows for. This place has the potential for something incredible. Has got a ways to go. Really rough rough and fairly rough fairways. Teepads being put in are looking great.

Greatt course

Great potential! I won’t state the obvious, but it still needs tee pads and fairways need to be leveled and cleared. This will be a high caliber course for sure! I’m so excited for this course to be finished. Thanks for all the hard work!
