Shank Park Disc Golf Course

Visiting the Harrisburg area for work training and found this course. Worth the short drive, glad I went. Some of the big wide open shots were fun as I’m used to tight courses. Some of the woods fairways are ridiculous in nature as I am sure the town didn’t want any trees taken down but they are a fun challenge. When I come back I’m throwing a putter and looking for good placement on those. Skinny windows. Watch out for poison ivy in the back nine woods areas if you throw it in the weeds. Really nice park, and the mixed use is kind of nice as opposed to being a detriment. I had fun, I’d play here a bunch if I lived here.

Nice tees and a tougher layout to the red baskets makes for a killer round here at Shank Park. Little more signage for next tee pad in areas, Udisc will get you where you need to go. Worth a stop if your in the area!

Lots of glass in the woods. 16 needs to lose literally 1 or 2 trees to open up a line somewhere.

Nice course overall. Fairly open. Recommend playing yellow first time through. I was lucky enough to have a couple guides. Thanks Lucas and Nathan.

Nice course over central PA parkland with concrete tee pads, nice signage and multiple baskets on each hole. I played the yellow baskets and felt challenged as an intermediate player. Would definitely recommend.

This was my favorite course so far. I’m still new to the sport, but really enjoyed playing here! Great open shots as well as some technical wooded holes. Great for beginners.

Couple long walks between holes. Course is marked well. Couple of holes on yellow course are very tough for par 3s but still fun.

Hole 15 and 16 need a fairway. There is none. Also hole 6 need a fairway as well. Holes7 & 8 are huge arm throws that I don’t have so it’s hard to get a par.

I loved this course! Great shot variety with some challenging lines and some ace runs. Very well maintained park and excellent tee pads. Only 15 and 16 were poke and hope holes.

Really well maintained course with nice pro size tee pads. Good shot variety and use of elevation as well. Most importantly, it’s just fun to play! The rough is really well beaten down so you don’t get ultra-punished for going off. Crisscrossing fairways on holes 7 and 8 are a bit sketchy, and 16 is really just poke and pray, but otherwise no complaints.

Pretty boring straight to fade shots for most part and kinda open. Some of the new reds are great and some are awful 2,7,15,16. 12 is a lost disc, poison ivy and ticks

Well maintained. Two courses (yellow and red). Good variety.

Excellent course, and fantastic new signage. Mix of open and technical holes with a few challenging holes to grow on. Great layouts in a shared park.

What ourmt for the bees nest next to 18 tee pad on the left by the small trees!

Great intermediate courses

The original short layout is a nice beginner setup. Some short "technical" shots with some simple long ones as well as a few harder holes. The new red was rough. Front nine was fine to good. Back was a mess, a couple of the worst designed holes I've played and many of the holes are just disc donation boxes disguised as holes.
