The course is a beginner style course that provides a challenge for all skill levels. All holes are par 3s for a total of par 27 for the course and total playable distance of 2,638 feet.
The course is incorporated into the Gladwin City North Park and the parking lot is shared by the skate park, riverwalk walking trail, and canoe launch. There is ample parking and the course is easy to navigate.
The first hole is a 311 foot open winding fairway with a strategically placed bush in the middle of the fairway near the ideal landing zone. The basket is protected by large trees that provide an extra challenge.
Hole number two is a winding 264 foot hole with long wood hazard on the left hand side and the walking trail on the right side. The wood hazard will be cleaned up throughout the summer to allow for easier locating lost discs. The hole finishes in the middle of a fairway.
After a brief walk, the 260 foot S shaped third hole provides a true challenge in placement and distance control with the basket tucked behind a row of trees.
The fourth hole is a true dogleg right 330 foot technical challenge. The tunnel tee shot faces the skate park with the basket located far down an open fairway.
The walk to the fifth hole is the furthest transition, but allows for time to catch a break before playing the longest hole on the course. At 409 feet, the hole plays longer with the elevated basket set on the side of the hill. This hole features a mando to the right of the power pole, but the elevated basket allows for the player to “go for it” on the second shot.
The walk uphill to the 245 foot sixth hole is worth the steps to get an overview of North Park. The same power pole from hole 5 sees a challenging mando right. Do you play a curving shot to follow the fairway to the basket or take your chances and go over the trees to try to hear the chains rattle of an ace?
The next hole features a 397 foot open fairway that finishes on the left side of the hill. Be wary of landing in the old wooden dug out or you’ll have to take your chances through the small window.
The short walk to the fan favorite 176 foot hole 8 will have your eye on an ace. Overhanging trees provide a challenge to keep your shot low or find yourself struggling to make par.
Finishing out the course is the 244 foot hole 9. The tee pad features a large tree right in front of it that will choose you to choose the left or right side. The hole has overhanging trees that invites long low shots to find the basket on the left side of the opening.
The course finishes at the original parking lot and invites you to try your luck again. Typical 2 person play completes a round in 45-60 minutes.

"Great for practice. There is a good mixture of long and short holes to throw all kinds of discs!"
