Fair conditions
The grass is a little long in some places and there are a few fallen trees 🌳 and branches, but the course is playable. The OG layout is in good shape. 👍
The East course is wooded and longer than the West course and it is the most difficult of our three Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park courses.
Open the UDisc course map or scorecard before you arrive, because there is poor cell service in this area. Course maps will automatically open by starting a scorecard or they can be found in Smart Layouts by clicking the little right arrow.
Hole 1’s tee pad is on the left side of the parking lot as you pull in.
We invite you to plan a day trip with a picknic and enjoy playing all three of our diverse courses (45 holes). The medium difficulty level of our three courses is the West course. It’s hole 1 tee pad is located behind the restrooms to the left past the water spigot. The Turkey Trace is a 9-hole beginner friendly course that is located across the street.
Add some variety and change things up a little by playing the OG layout. As shown on the tee signs and on the course sign in front of the restrooms, the OG layout was our original course at the park. It is now a combination of the East and West courses. The OG is played in the following order. East holes 1, 2, 9, 10, 11, 12, 16, 17, and 18. Then the West course holes 1, 6, 7, 8, 9, 15, 16, 17, and 18.

I’m sure if we had played before recent storms came through I would have rated it higher. It was difficult to give an accurate review because we were unable to complete the course due to trees down. Once the trees are cleared out it would be a fun course to play.

A really great course! Fun lines in the woods, a good challenge for beginners and more experienced players. Highly recommend.

Great course that I highly recommend which is located in such a beautiful State park. Big trees with fairways just tight enough to make it challenging but still fun and rewarding if you hit your lines. Not too long, but not too short either. Gullies are there to avoid and/or throw over. Excellent new tee signs, benches, and garbage cans. Thank you, Meeman Demons, and especially Chef for accepting the massive challenge of maintaining these courses.
