About the course
Vulture Pines is an 18 hole disc golf course established in 2019 by the local community group Picture Pittsfield. Thanks to a local community hotel grant and 100’s of volunteer hours, this is one of the most exciting yet challenging disc golf courses in central Illinois. There is much more to come for this course over the next couple of years. As of August 2022, CARPE Disc Golf has been managing the course. CARPE plans to increase event opportunities, develop back tee pads, and is adding a 2nd permanent course in 2023 at Lake Pittsfield called Whitetail Oaks. CONCRETE pads were installed in October 2022. This is a must play for anyone who is an avid disc golf player! With the addition of the 2nd course to Lake Pittsfield you can play too great courses on your visit. Camping $20 a day available in the Park.

A demanding course that requires you to hit your lines. The course is tough but very fair. A good mix of different styles of golf. There are a couple very challenging par 4’s. The long basket positions will make this course into a true beast. Turf teepads may look somewhat unappealing but are wonderful to play on. To find a course better in the area you’d have to travel to St. Louis.
