"Hard course but fun"

"Overall a pretty solid course that makes great use of the land. Most of the tee shots are pretty challenging in terms of lines particularly the holes in the woods. The tee pads are not bad but some of them need a little work and are slippery when wet. Does feel like the course favors RHBH shots a little more than RHFH. Worked to my advantage but that doesn’t mean other people won’t be frustrated."

"Secluded private feeling course. Mostly tree defined fairways and maybe 4 wide open ones. In good playing condition Pretty fun play with a bit of lake drama to get your attention. I see great potential with this park! While existing layout is good I see possibilities of it evolving into something even better. Well kept fair fairways.. Great job by the people who gave us this nice addition to Illinois Dgolf! A must play if in the area.Camping w/ clean bathhouse and electr$8 day 1.5miles away. "

"New so a good amount of small brances on some holes that ideally need to be cleared. Very rhbh friendly. But overall a beautiful piece of land and good design "

"18 hole layout with two tees and two pin placements on each hole. Astro turf tees on short tees. A nice mix of open and wooded holes with 6 par 4’s. Several holes play over or near lake. What I like best about this course is the 3 stands of aspen pines and the pine needle floor. It’s like the spacing in between the lines were intentionally done for the course. "

"Fantastic layout—probably the best course in the area outside of St Louis or Peoria. Short and long positions available—seemed like a mixture of the two when I played, A or B setup depending on the hole. Pretty good newly-installed signage. The tee pads are turf on a gravel pad boxed in with 4x4s. Would love to see some more permanent concrete or rubber pads put in, but these are certainly perfectly functional. Can’t wait for it to mature into one of central Illinois’ best parks!"

"A demanding course that requires you to hit your lines. The course is tough but very fair. A good mix of different styles of golf. There are a couple very challenging par 4’s. The long basket positions will make this course into a true beast. Turf teepads may look somewhat unappealing but are wonderful to play on. To find a course better in the area you’d have to travel to St. Louis."
