Hughes park is a perfect beginner course or course for players to practice their upshot’s and somewhat technical shots. The course is pretty well kept except for the tee pads. The gravel tee pads are quite terrible to be honest. On holes you need a run up definitely step to the side of the pad to prevent any possible mistakes. The fairways are pretty open and easy to see where to go. On the three longer holes 9, 11, and 12 it is an open field but they have cut the grass to make fairways, the grass that hasn’t been cut is too high, need to check for any ticks after walking through it. I do enjoy playing this course. It is a fun, quick round that offers many ace run chances.

The short tee pads aren’t a big deal other than 9, 11, & 12. Last 5 holes in the woods are fun.

Fairly short, wooded course behind a softball complex. It’s definitely rough around the edges. There are several places where runoff water collects near some of the basket locations. Also, the tee boxes are filled with crushed gravel that is poorly maintained; lots of opportunities for twisted ankles. It’s a quirky layout.
