"Monster is the younger sibling of HM’s Original course and plays a little longer and more open, despite what hole #1 suggests. Watch out for disc gobbling long grass roughs and save your energy for the 1000’+ hole #14. Finish out the course with a exaggerated s-shot over a bridge to avoid the swap at the very end "

"Very surprised this course is rated so highly. ESPECIALLY when considering this is a pay-to-play course. $10 for parking and $3 per person. With the revenue coming in, one would expect more. Better layout. Better drainage. Just better. Very little elevation and very little shot diversity. Disappointing course considering the 4.5 rating. "

"Most of the ones in city/county/state parks in Michigan are pretty dope, this one is no exception. Some long holes, some technical, some more open. Great variety, well kept, well marked, easy to follow. There are some longer holes where it's nice to have a spotter, wouldn't recommend going alone the first time or If you do be prepared to spend some time looking for discs and potentially saying adios to a driver if you are not very accurate off the pad."

"The course layout is nice. However, the grooming is not good. I don't think they are doing ANYTHING with the rough. Getting even a foot or two into the rough and you will be lost. Last round I played, I found three lost discs and they weren't that far off the green. They need to cut that stuff down! There is also no signage to direct you to the next hole or point you in the direction to where the 1st hole is for the original Monster. Really pathetic that this is pay to play! "

"The rough off the fairway is ROUGH! It could use a little TLC off the fairway. You can be standing two feet off the fairway on top of your disc and still not see it. If they threw some mid season maintenance off the faiways, this is easily a 5-star course"

"Small singular low hanging branchs that need trimming, making an already tough course basically impossible. For a paid (entrance and greens fee) park these fairways should be trimmed far more often (I’m not talking guardian trees/bushs but the random branches) The roughs are very dense as well. I love tight wooded course but this one leaves you scratching your head as to what exactly you’re paying for! "

"It's a fair course with a variety of challenges. However, a couple holes could benefit from a "safe" zone off the tee. For example, 18 from the longs is kinda nuts. As the trees get taller, the lines are less clear. A more distinct landing area short of the bridge would make it a perfect risk/reward hole. "
