Nice course. Well shaded except for two open baskets. Lots of erosion that is being managed. This means there are many exposed roots ready to grab your ankles as you walk by. Keep a look out. Enjoyed the course.

Short tees are small, long tees are difficult for beginners. Great course though, a lot of shot variety and difficulty as well as some easier straight throws

Great course in a fantastic. If I am being super nit-picky, the holes are each kinda similar, but I enjoyed that type of shot. Fun time!

Taking out a couple trees on the 17th would make the tee shot more playable for casual players.

Cedar hills is a very pretty course. It’s woodsy and really feels like being out in nature playing disc golf in such an urban area. Defiant found it difficult and frustrating as a beginner but as I’ve gotten better the course has gotten more fun (but isn’t that the case with everything).

An older course. Good amount of tight wooded shots. If I had to give it a letter grade, probably a C+ as it’s probably slightly above average for an older wooded course in a public park.
Pros:
- decent layout for the most part
- good mix of types of shots required.
- can be played relatively quickly.
- ok beginner/intermediate course if you don’t mind hitting trees
Cons:
- can get pretty busy.
- lots or roots and loose rock just be careful where you step.
- poor amenities
While I think it’s worth a visit if you live nearby i don’t think it’s worth more than a 25 min drive to play it.
I don’t know how people grade courses on here but 5 stars is not even close. 5 should be left for the absolute best courses. It’s a middle of the range to slightly above middle of the range course.

I think this is one of the underrated courses in the area and it’s one of my favorites. I’ve given 3/5 stars out of respect to the other courses in the area but that shouldn’t deter people from playing it, I just think their needs to be more disparity in the star ratings.
The course has a decent layout with a variety of distances and terrain but most of the shots are straight or hyzer left. There is only one par 4 on the course so mostly par 3. The facilities are Raleigh park facilities and are decidedly average to subpar. The course does have nice baskets with multiple tee positions and a water carry which is a ton of fun. The teepad are nice in most cases but there are a couple which could use some care. The course isn’t really what I’d consider pretty but it’s definitely a challenging course and one where I really started to learn my game.
This is a good intermediate course that seems to be of a similar era to Middle Creek but hasn’t yet got the TLC that middle creek has, it also suffers from minimal to nonexistent signs like MC. This course could be a 3.5-4 with the right changes. Like I said, it’s a really decent course but it has its limitations for sure

Great Course. Theres a lake on hole 7 thats difficult to throw accross but they provide a path around. Theres also a cell tower on hole 8 you need to throw around. Other then that great fun course. Mixture of wooded and open. More R2L holes then L2R.

What can you say? Cedar Hills is classic disc golf. Loads of tunnel shots and the park has probably the best elevation change in the Triangle. Well maintained by a dedicated local contingent and keeps you coming back time after time to try and beat your course record.

Fun course, if you skip hole 7 which has consumed enough of my discs. Course drains remarkably well even during a light rain.
