"I actually quite enjoy playing here. As someone else said, the course is tough but fair and the improvements DGers have made recently are fantastic. There are some obvious areas of improvement though, from the lack of concrete tee pads to the trash on paths between some of the holes to the last three holes sharing baskets with other holes (I find 16 in particular a bit silly). Bart can be frustrating and it will eat discs, but it grows on you. "

I only survived using UDisc navigator All in all very cool course with the river being a water hazard on a few holes. Mostly wooded with some open field. Be prepared to have a spotter if possible for blind shots"

"Unique course. Very challenging especially in the wind. Tee boxes don’t really exist and some pins are old and banged up. Biggest thing was that so many of the throwing lines were constantly back and forth across a creek you had to keep fording without the best path. Often where you had to carry 200+ to clear the creek. Other spots had a lot of “you will definitely lose a disc if you miss-through areas that were fenced off private areas or waterways. Most pins are hidden from the tees."

"When Bart is well mowed and the tees aren’t dusty it has some of my favorite shots in town. With a little love this place would be fantastic. Also the oldest course in Texas deserves that love. New disc catcher 28 chains on most holes. Couple bombs like hole 3 from the longs and hole 4 up the hill. "

Play here to learn important shots, get good and avoid the Austin crowds, as almost all other parks in Austin get busy when the weather is good. It isn't Zilker or Wells Branch, it is challenging, a has a few risky holes, but is rewarding and builds character. To be sure, lots of trash and homeless people, so stay alert, but do not skip this gem. Sometimes you play Bart, sometimes it plays you, don't whine, get better. "

"The course is in better shape than it's ever been. The new baskets and markers are great and many of the narrowest gaps have been cleaned up. There's still plenty of work to do, especially on the frequent sketchy stream crossings. The course is challenging for intermediate players and requires a lot of specific shots. There are some open holes, but the course rewards accuracy more than distance. The full 18 is not beginner friendly - - stick with the quick 9 instead. "

"Miserable course - pretty clear the local club and parks department have given up on it. “Fairways” have clearly not been cut in months. Baskets (when they’re even there) are easily a decade old and don’t catch anything reliably. “Tee pads” are soft dirt and aren’t reliably marked. Course design is average as best and is challenging to navigate even with UDisc. I can’t recommend anyone play this course until some serious work has been done on it "
