"Fun course very strategic, will definitely play again 👍🏼"

"Fun and challenging wooded course! If you can hit your lines, you will do well here! Very tight fairways, but no underbrush, so most roughs let you play back to the fairway. Overall, favors RHBH players, but still many unique shot shapes. Easy to follow markings and paths! Love this course!"

"Very technical and wooded. Enjoyed the challenge and ungalating course design "

"Love it. Very well marked. "

"Great technical course. Fantastic signage, fun and unusual lines, good variety of shapes. Only thing I'd say is they have the space for more alternative tees and they will eventually want to start updating the existing ones."

"A bit generous on the pars on a few holes, but extremely fun course!"

"Personally, I find this to be an exception course. The fairways are clearly well kept and I enjoyed almost every hole, aside from a few that are wonky or too short. Sure the teepads aren't perfect, and there are a couple of odd holes, but all that is made up for by the gorgeous forest, lake views and solitary nature of this true woods course. Maybe add some left to right holes? Not LHBH friendly."

"Some holes have some very tight fairways / dense guardian trees. Some of the tees are pretty rough. Overall great course"

"Nice course. clean wood thanks for the hard work"

"Tee pads have some routes "

"Great course, technical fairways. If I had one critique, it would be that alot of the tee boxes have roots in them."
Jul 24, 2022
"Nice course with very tight throws and big turns. We’ll laid out with good signage. Decent tee boxes would improve this course considerably."

"Beauty. Solid tech lines through maintained forest. Forgiving pars but placement is key "
Jul 3, 2022
"First time ever playing. Course was challenging for a novice but very fun. "
Jul 3, 2022
"Tight fairways, highly technical course, alot of left leaning curves so be prepared! Slices are difficult to recover, so accuracy is key. I usually love heavily wooded courses, this one has pretty clear brush for about 75% of its holes which is nice for disc recovery (early July). Worth the trip. Pro-tip: check out Donnely's ice cream after your round to make your trip REALLY worth it."

"Great course, well marked and thought out. Upkeep is good and signage too."

"Fun wood course with good baskets and tight fairways. Tee pads are dirt and in rough shape."

"Could someone please reach out to me. Avid player just moved Mack here from Florida, and would love to show me around the course and hook up with other local players, leagues or tournaments. Please text 561-644-3223 matt"

"Beautiful course with well-defined fairways. Almost entirely wooded with tight lanes on most holes, but a couple more open holes to rip long flex drives. Course plays very easy relative to par"

"In need of tee pads but very fun and challenging course!"
Aug 15, 2021
"Highly recommended for experienced players. A beautiful technical course. I appreciate the markings to the next t pad."

"Well manicured wood course. May favor RHBH with a few more dogleg lefts. "
Aug 9, 2021
"Very nice for what it is. Tee boxes are dirt and uneven, but it's part of the charm. "
Aug 9, 2021
"Nice course. Tees fit in with the overall feel of the course. Blueberries! Low undergrowth makes it hard to lose a disc"

"Awesome course, tons of variety. The map on the app is not accurate. "
Jul 29, 2021
"There is a reason it’s called “Barkeater”. Narrow fairways keep you on your toes. Doesn’t play very long but still a challenge for the beginner/novice. Definitely worth a visit!!"
Aug 2, 2021
"Layout was fun, challenging fairways that force you to be good with mid-ranges or driving putters. Peaceful property, if visiting Saranac Lake/Lake Placid and you play Disc Golf, it's a must play. "
Jul 15, 2021
"Nice course. Some short holes and some technical par 5. Try to keep it in the fairway and you'll score pretty good. Absolutely gorgeous property. Walks between holes are pretty long, but its nice to unwind. Lots of blueberries to be found around the back 9."

"Very technical, definitely keeps you on your toes!"

"Short fun course. Fairways are clearly defined with a nice mixture of shot shapes. Nice scenic course!"

"Great course to play, you're definitely going to eat some bark with the tight fairways, but overall very fun"

"Absolute gem. Challenging. The trees ate us up. Completely understand how the course got its name. Lake views on the front nine. "
May 9, 2021
"The paths are easy to follow and clearly marked with orange tape. Each hole is accurately mapped at the tee however I don’t think it corresponds accurately with UDisc maps of each hole. UDisc needs to be updated with correct layouts on most of them."

"My first true 18 and this was an awesome place to do it!! Light snow flurry on the front 6 or so that calmed down to a beautiful calm quite landscape. Floor was a bit wet from rain this morning and the leaves made it a bit slippery but not a huge issue. This course was definitely a challenge coming from only really having practiced on a soccer field. Still quite manageable to the point I got 2 birds! Would love to play here again. "

"Wave of warm weather makes this course a gem. 17 wooded holes will challenge golfers of all caliber. Course is free to play. Carry in. Carry out. Be sure to sign in you’re in for a delightful surprise. Aggressive chipmunks this time of year. Guard your trail mix."

"Sand pads. Nice fairways. Good baskets. In the adks but still pretty cart friendly. Good mix of shot shapes. "
Aug 9, 2020
"Lives up to its name, i hit alot of trees and enjoyed some views on the way"
Aug 5, 2020
"Great signage! There markings on trees and branches between holes. Each basket has a piece of wood with an arrow carved in to point you to the next hole. Tee signs were accurate and showed the following tee pad as well. Really enjoyed stopping through on my vacation in the mountains. "

"A decent course, I would avoid it if you aren’t experienced "
Jul 18, 2020
"4.5 star for the front nine, 2 star for the back 9. Every hole on the back nine is just a 250-350 foot hyzer. Front 9 is incredible "
Jul 9, 2020
"Great wooded course"
Jul 6, 2020
"great course, super well marked. Can jump to 18th hole then parking lot after the 9th hole if you don’t want to play all 18. Classic wooded course, lots of trees and some elevation change. Few Par 5s which is great. Back 9 a bit easier, more open. Might be a bit challenging for beginners"

"Course is playing great and with recent clean up and grooming it is playing better then ever. This course is a wooded and technical gem with awesome fairways under and through a true Adirondack Forest. You want to play this asap but stay on the fairways my friends. Enjoy."

"The course is starting to dry out. Very little snow left. Bring your boots and have at it. This is a great course. "

"Paul smiths missed an opportunity to make a fun professional looking course and instead phoned it in."

"I lost a leopard on hole 16"
Jul 27, 2019
"If you like throwing from right to left then this course is for you. It starts out OK but the back nine in particular is repetitive and less well-maintained. The school would’ve benefited from hiring a professional designer to handle a spot this nice. Still, the area is beautiful, the baskets are top notch, and it’s worth playing if you’re passing by anyway. "
Jul 14, 2019
"Being actively landscaped and maintained, heavily wooded, you will hit trees."
Jul 6, 2019
"Great course. Forestry management area with a nice course laid out on access roads. Tight lines, sharp turns, and forgiving pars. Keep up the effort, great course. Never got lost, lost no discs. "

"Wear proper hiking shoes"
Apr 2, 2019
"Parts of the course are walkable, but off the fairway is maybe 2-3 feet of snow. Still an enjoyable and fun round. I’d recommend waterproof boots and wool socks to make it through. "
"Nice basket with red top easy to spot, not ce walk-in the forest. But no signature shot and almost no elevation. The long shots are often too narrow. But the worst, at least in the spring, are the mosquitos. Don’t come without repellent and long sleeves. You will be thinking more about them than your next shot!"
