You finish and then are expected to walk across a maybe 8” iron beam or find stepping stones across 20’+. The rough is twiggy. Several of the holes are gimmicky, like hole 1. Several pars are not fair/typical, even for MPO standards. "

Maintenance ranges from wonderful to nonexistent. Hole 14 has a nice design, but looks like it hasn’t been mowed since the course was installed. Unacceptable for this kind of negligence. 2 discs were lost in the middle of the fairway. Skip 14 until it’s bush-hogged and mowed one of these years."

"What was going to be a 5-star review gradually became 2.5. First half of course is beautiful and well maintained. I am a decent intermediate player with ~400ft of power and I found the course surprisingly challenging. I was especially unprepared for 500ft par 3s, 800ft par 4s, and a 1000ft par 5. As others have reported, one hole on the back 9 doesn’t really have a fairway (which is especially frustrating on a 500+ft par 3…) Cool property, but I won’t be coming back any time soon."

"Course is pretty tough for a new player. As a new player it feels like most of these holes should be par 4s but I know it’s because I can’t throw as far as more experienced players. So it’s more on me than it is the course. Front 9 is really nice but the back 9 needs some TLC. "

"Challenging course, nice variety on the whole, covers a lot of distance on and between holes. Distance arm helps. Think it could be a great course if there were a variety of tee pads like echo or CFP to invite a variety of arms and skill levels and if the rough wasnt instant jail or major risk of losing a disc. "Nice course that makes great use of a beautiful property! The baskets need to be updated and the pars need to be adjusted on holes 11, 14, and 5 (in that order of importance). 11’s green is not reachable in one shot for any level of player. 14 requires 500+’ power to reach the green and the late bend and uphill grade make hole 5 almost unreachable without a perfect roller for RHBH and would take elite distance for RHFH. Hole 15 needs help make the hole shorter, remove trees, or both. "

"Not a fun time for me (fairly beginner, I play mostly at Monroe). Distance and direction to next tee was not intuitive. Long holes took me so many throws but are still a par 3 or 4. Had to get into thick brush several times. Several steep uphill/downhill. Hard to understand where the basket is til you're right on top of it."

"The baskets definitely need improvement, there’s not many chains and I had a lot of spit-outs even when hitting strong side. Layout is fine but would be a lot more fun if the pars were adjusted on some of the front 9. Quite a few holes are very tough pars and physically impossible to birdie in anything other than perfect conditions or some kind of lucky backdoor route. Don’t be upset with a +10 or so. Adjust the pars and new baskets would bump this up to a 4.5 star course. "

"The basic course is fantastic with everything you could ask for...elevation, water, tight gaps, open bomber holes, long tight hallways & a narrow 1100 footer. Definitely not beginner friendly. You need easy 300+ or will not have fun. The issues: Thickest rough anywhere in Cinci/Dayton. Terrible 18 chain DGA baskets. Hole 14 is unmowed, borderline unplayable. Picnics, etc obstruct play on nice weekends. Overall, this course is overshadowed by Echo/ CFP and deserves more love & investment itself"

"I have mixed feelings regarding Armco. I believe it sits in potentially one of the best parks for disc golf yet it doesn’t take advantage of all the park could be. Hole 15 needs a little work to have a viable gap. Hole 4 maybe should play as a 5 and the new mandos really add challenge (not a negative). Love the little pro shop! Think holes 2, 13, and 18 are some of the best holes around. Wish their were more holes taking advantage of the amazing Armco lake. "

"Well groomed course in a gated park (free to play). Lots of challenging par 3s. Good mix of holes that require a long drive but also placement. My one sticking point is that some of the par 3s are not really par 3s (ex hole 11), though not quite par 4s either. Tough but fun course. "

"Updated review: some of the worst baskets have been replaced, and the debris has been cleared. Some holes still have no clear fairway, and there are lots of boring wide open holes. A few holes are memorable and nice (1,4,16-18) but the middle holes are very forgettable. Poor design through the busiest parts of the park result in needing to skip holes because of cars parked on fairways and people having picnics around baskets."
